Design
The Galloping Horse as Motif
Within the intimate scale of the dial, line and spirit are re-established. Cloisonné defines form; enamel confers colour. Each gold wire must follow the contours of the horse. Layers of richly coloured enamel are then applied and repeatedly fired, allowing gradations of colour to emerge through the intensity of the kiln—evoking an Eastern scroll arrested in time.
